A diet is a selection of food that an an organism intakes. A nutritious diet is essential for all living organisms, especially human beings. For a person to be healthy, he has to take nutritious diet. Nutrition is the sum total of all essential things that a human body needs to function. It includes several forms of Vitamins, Minerals, Protein, Carbohydrates, Fats, and Micro nutrients.

A Nutrition healthy diet, with some physical exercise like, weight training, weight fitness or aerobics will result in the person developing considerable stamina and immunity against certain diseases and chronic ailments. Individuals engaged in active sports activity may need to take additional nutrition like protein and minerals. This could help them with higher energy levels and muscle strength. Nutrition healthy diet may include Pulses, Grains, Nuts, dried fruits, vegetables, milk, sea food, greens, and fresh fruit. These can help provide the body with the daily requirement of all the vitamins, minerals, protein and energy. An occasional treat with chocolates and ice cream can also help greatly by influencing the mood levels and can help reduce mental stress. Several ailments can be prevented by just maintaining a proper, wholesome and nutrition rich diet. One can forget medicines and hospitals if the person takes a conscious effort in taking a balanced diet which includes fiber, vitamins, minerals, fat and protein.

Diet and exercise

This when added to some physical exercises like walking, jogging, swimming or engaging in other sports activities will definitely make a person strong and healthy. Staying fit does not only mean staying physically fit but also means staying mentally fit. A clear fresh mind with a great mood leads to a lot of positive actions and great productivity. Mental stress should be reduced by making meditation a daily habit. Diet can also aid in improving mood. Taking fresh juices often is known to influence mood swings. For a stress free mind, one can also engage in some useful hobby.

It is advisable to get fresh air every now and then. Yoga or some form of martial art training can also help in lightening the mind. Junk food has to be avoided. If a person takes conscious effort in taking in nutrition rich food, he or she can tap into the greatest potentials of the body and mind. This is essential for a happy and healthy life.
